Let's see... went to a favorite brewpub over the weekend. We last were here with Eli when he was 2 months old. Back then we were worried about him waking up and screaming (which he didn't). This time around he hardly wanted anything to do with us and just loved looking around... he did enjoy some bites of our food as well. And he sat in the highchair so he could look out all by himself. Meanwhile we had our own conversation while looking at the back of Eli (he just wanted to look around) and marveling at how big he is. My how time flies...
Eli and I get quite a few walks in. This was Friday, late morning, on a favorite walk along the river. My view was of his cute, little, wiggling feet.
We've been in Portland for a few years now and had never been to the Nike employee store. A place known around here for it's great discounts on the latest and nicest Nike gear. Well, a friend of ours hooked us up with a guest pass (required to get in) and so we went. Do I recommend going on a Saturday? And with a baby? Not really. But actually, both ended up being fine. Eli was happy as could be in the cart being fed crackers while I dodged the maddening amounts of people crawling over each other. And we each got a pair of shoes.
Eli and I snagged quite a few zucchinis at the nearby farmers market last Thursday. They were 5 for $1 and I couldn't resist. So I've been cooking.
Eli was into this box that we had received in the mail and let's just say some taped up edges, a punched hole, and a sturdy rope later he had a little cardboard spaceship-train-sled-mobile. He loves it. And I decided that it is our new method of picking up stray toys... just collect as we go. You'll notice he is sitting on several.
And well, I guess that's about all. Now to another week!
