Sleepy head
I love this guy.
When he's all sleepy after a long nap.
And he smiles.
With his sheet lines on his face.
And his messy hair.
And he's all cuddly and sweet.
The best.

Long walks in the rain
Today we confirmed a very important thing: the rain cover works great on the stroller. And the boy seems to like it.
Let the rain walks begin!
(I didn't convince Moon I needed chic rain boots for nothing).

A Korean dinner
We decided that all the gloomy rain and sickness that have been getting us down were reason to get out of the house for dinner. To a favorite Korean spot. Eli loved it. We all ate yummy food. And some of us even got to chew on some bone...
Looking at these pictures makes me see up close just how blessed I am. How I love spending time with my favorite guys.

it was fun to see how much our little guy has grown.
as things were winding down we pulled the balloons for the kids.
eli just wanted to run around holding them.
happy first birthday to you, my love!!

Recovering
It's been a long week.
A bad cold hit us all.
And the rains are back. Real rain. Umbrella worthy rain. So no walks for a few days. Staying inside. Trying to survive.
But today we are better. Resting. Laughing with our little Eli. Reading books.
And tomorrow is a new day...

A first birthday.
Saturday.
A very special day for us!
Our baby boy turned one.
He wore his hanbok.
He played like it was any other day.
But he clearly loved being around so many people.
And thanks to a very helpful and willing set of grandparents and a very patient husband it all just came together at the end.
More pictures to come.

Powder baby
This is what happens when the baby powder opens on the baby while he is being changed and happily playing with and chewing on said powder. I don't think he learned anything but I did!
In the car
Eli does great in the car and loves looking out. We still have a "2 stops and then go home" rule because after two in/out of the seat it seems to get exponentially more difficult to get him excited about getting strapped in. Who wants to run all those errands anyways??

Time with his daddy
Just a couple quick shots in the hallway and elevator that capture how happy this little boy is when in his daddy's arms!

Walking
Getting out for a long walk was so good for us.
Falling leaves.
Sunshine. A chill in the air.
A happy baby.
A daddy who is almost done with his surgery rotation. One last overnight call.
My heart is full. I love this time of year, fall is simply my favorite. And getting to spend time with the people I love makes even the longest of days so special.
